Recently, McKiss Portraits had the pleasure of collaborating with San Diego Party Ride, a local luxury limousine company specializing in weddings. They compiled a list of advice from photographers all over the San Diego metro. As a featured participant, McKiss Portraits has been given a wonderful opportunity to offer our advice on how to best capture the special events during the engagement through the wedding process. As some of you can imagine, this can be harder than it seems!

McKiss Portraits got to be a part of the most incredibly emotional wedding. Jamie Nieto & Shevon Stoddart are both Olympic athletes. During a training accident, Jamie was paralyzed from the neck down. He made a promise to Shevon that he would walk down the aisle with her as husband and wife. So with a lot of hard work, dedication and love, they overcome this obstacle together and he was able to live up to his promise. Here is one of the many news articles about their inspiring story.
Basic invite asked McKiss Portraits about one of my favorite shoots I've done and I just had to write about Jamie and Shevon. It was definitely the most emotional weddings I've been a part of!
So my friend, Brianne, and I have known each other since Jr. high. Now she is this awesome activist, fashion and product designer, consultant, entrepreneur, plus blogger and many more. She has a strong social media platform (@the_huntswoman) and asked me to photograph her in her first professional photoshoot. We had so much fun running around this maker's space in Salt Lake city. Later, she wrote a blog post about the shoot. I'm glad I was able to be a part of her journey!
